Building Your Own Weight Training Equipment

Ok so you’ve decided to make muscular gains part of your goal and want to really get started with it. You know that to do so require a lot of hard work and dedication. And to kick start this routine, you’ll need a weight training equipment to give your body a good workout. But you might be on a budget and can’t really afford to spend money on those expensive looking home gym equipments.  Fear not, here are some suggestions on what and where you can get quality weight training equipment that can still make a difference in your workout and body.

Consider that you can make your very own home made gym equipment with just some creativity and hands-on. You’ll need some simple tools at that. But for less than a hundred bucks, it is possible to get some of them made by yourself. Let’s get started.

Now I would start off with how to build and set up a chin-up bar at home. The chin-up bar is a great tool for working out your upper body and builds functional muscle like no other.

Ok so first head down to your local store and get those plumbing pipes. Make sure they are solid and not brittle. You can get these for less than fifty bucks. Find doorways or the basement area where you can look to fix the pipe securely. This is important, as you don’t want to fall off when going up on your home-made chin-up bar. You might also want to purchase some rubber foam or cloth to wrap and tie around the pipe. This is to cushion and let you grip the pipe better. I know, going through the pain on cold steel makes you feel like a man, but we’re in for safety and comfort.

If you have a little more money to spare, you might want to consider buying a portable chin-up bar. It’s usually sold in sports store.  With this, you can either screw or use suction pressure to install it between your doorway or any narrow areas. Don’t worry about the exact width require, as these pull-up bar sets comes with adjustable bar.

For resistance training, you can build your own equipment for this with rubber latex tubing. Again, go down to the local store and purchase some surgical tubing. It works great as a resistance band. For better grip and comfort, be sure to alter and install good handles.
